ok... so this is gonna be a bit jumbled.... here goes....

my last, and it was so long ago, field assignment was to go to mt. sinaka, arakan valley, cotabato province. we were supposed to capture philippine eagles... don't worry, we have a permit. so, we were all kinda tired after the first week of trying to figure out where those eagles were hiding, we declared a day off! weee.... so, during our "day off" we decided to brush up on our climbing skills... tree climbing that is... but since we weren't too sure about how to tie the rope to the tree, i said, and i was joking mind you, "dito niyo na lang sa second floor ikabit yung tali." we were in the province of course, and houses that have second floors, well, the second floor is open... so... picture time!!


this was my first try... seee... second floor... hehehe... i wall climb a bit. this just felt awkward the first time. it sucks that they forced me to wear that helmet just because i'm the "baby girl" of the bunch. yeah, i'm the only female there.... chauvinistic pigs! hehehe... joke lang. the boys are kewlies naman...


getting better... no more helmet, happy child! hehehe... i love the feeling of being suspended... la lang.... this is me transferring my weight from the climbers to the descender... galing ko noh? hehehe


at the observation post... hehehe... ako yung girl ha, hindi yung lalake! *tooodge* hehehe... la lang...

i wanted a cuff bracelet... i saw this at the bazaar... and i just bought it.. that's my name... i made pukpok my head after cause it was a bit pricey... i hate it when i get these unexplainable girly urges... hehehe.. but aren't they cool nonetheless??? it's snap on, genuine leather... ala lang, just justifying my kalokohan...

kewl noh? wouldn't you want to hold one too? it's a philippine hawk eagle.. here i am at my best attempt at falconry... hehehe... i was a bit scared... i handle bats better... hehehe...


this is my friend ruby, and that there perching on her hand is a goshawk... she killed that bird... hehehe... it flew after i took the shot, just flapped once and went... *plok* on the ground.. hehehe... it was so funny. i just wasn't able to take a picture of it... if it were a cartoon, the sound effect would be *plok*... then the bird's beak was a bit stuck in the ground... the eyes weren't moving... the feet were up in the air because the bird was tethered.... hehehe... ruby killed the goshawk! bad bird handler! bad! hehehe... the bird wasn't really dead. just a bit overweight... after a bit of flight exercise, i'm sure that ruby won't be able to "kill" it again.
